Looks like I may FINALLY get to see MD on the big screen.

There are no set dates yet for these, but The Prince Charles Cinema in Soho, London, is showing one a week throughout June. I won't make all the screenings (be lucky to make more than one) but as soon as the dates are announced I'm buying for Mulholland Dr.

It's a cool cinema - they show loads of double bills and retrospectives etc. There's a double bill of Brick and Looper and Q&A with Rian Johnson coming soon. If you're in the UK it's worth following them on Twitter or Facebook to get the updates of what's coming up.

Man, I'm really wishing I lived in London right now. I haven't seen Mulholland Drive or Blue Velvet on the big screen, and I haven't seen The Straight Story or Wild At Heart at all...

Derek you MUST see The Straight Story, it's so beautifuly shot and with incredible landscapes - see it at a cinema if you can.

I just spoke to The Prince Charles Cinema and they cofirmed it's Wed evenings throughout June. Mulholland Drive is on 26th June, but it's not listed online yet. Also they weren't sure if it would be a proper celluloid 35mm print or digital. I would like to go anyway but I REALLY hope it's a 35mm print!

Thanks for your digging Siku. We'll have to have a pre/post drink if we both make it. I'll be there for sure. Let's hope for a proper print. I saw Lost Highway a couple of years back in a tiny theatre on 35mm and whilst the first reel was scratched up to hell it felt so much nicer than the digital projections I've seen.

And yes, I know, I've never seen it projected, on film or otherwise. Shameful.

I'm not sure exactly what time I'll be there, but I have to be away quite quickly after with a friend of mine. Definitely time for a couple of drinks beforehand though.
