I'm getting an error message when I try to add images. It says max image size is 2000x1000 pixels. What's going on?

What are your image dimensions? Can you resize them? We don't want to bloating the threads with huge images.

Fair enough, I can resize. Lots of things tend to be around 1200 pixels, or at least a bit over a thousand due to monitor sizes.

It should only pose problems with huge portrait-oriented images which you rarely find on film boards ;-)

1024 x 768 is pretty common, so the restriction to 1000 pixels high is a bit limiting.

Also if you start looking for images of classic movie stars there are all these gorgeous large format analogue publicity shots scanned in at about 3,000 by 4,000 pixels. Seems a shame not to share them!

that's landscape and not affected by 2000x1000.

Out of town at the minute, but alternative is to put the full size images on photobucket or somewhere and use the [img] code to post them here and board software should resize them but clickable for full res.
