Horse Statues

A bit of fun.

Any interlopers who were back on the MD Rotten Tomatoes board some time ago, or those who have looked through the threads linked in the "Film References" section on the main site here, may be aware of this thread:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/showthread.php?t=409281

In it we discovered a number of horse statues quite prominently positioned in a number of films. This thread is to bring that information back together again, and to add as we continue to find them.

Directors' conspiracy, or coincidence ... you decide. ;-)

The first that kicked us off, was of course, Mulholland Dr.

Bell Book and Candle (1958) - I see some references to Mulholland Drive in the film too but wouldn't overstate the case. Well, it is about witches and there's lots of crying and looking in mirrors and some from very unintentional "no hay banda" miming from the band! A couple of aunt Ruth types in it too... hmmm, I've overstated the case!

Awesome. Thanks. You get a cookie.

So does anyone else finding a horse who isn't me or Bob. ;-)

Thanks but more than a cookie I feel you've given me the curse - The Curse of the Hollywood Horse Statue!
Will I ever again be able to look at the background in a film scene again without hunting for the horse statue?! :-)

Heheh.

Keep looking. I've seen more too, and have some films to check back on when I have some time. Could be complete coincidence, but seems feasible as a possible director's in-joke.

Perhaps, for the sake of being more scientific, we should document instances of horse statues we come across in everyday life?
