Just in case anyone didn't know about this, Blue Velvet will be released in the States here on Blu-Ray November 8th, 2011! Special features will include fifty minutes of NEVER BEFORE SEEN deleted scenes footage!

Sadly, most deleted scenes get deleted for a reason. They either didn't work well to advance the plot or they just didn't pan out as well as intended. Still, great to see Blue Velvet come out in high-def.

Regardless of them being deleted scenes, I'd still like to see them for myself. I find it interesting to see things from a film that could have possibly been in it. Also, I heard from somewhere that David Lynch has to shorten his film to two hours, so maybe some of these deleted scenes he would've kept in there?
