Here's something to make you think.
Adam talks to Cynthia but he never sees her. We do, but he doesn't.
Or does he?
In the car, she is basically begging him to come to the office. She sounds frantic, in fact, when he says he's going home. Her conversation with Adam, by the way, is interrupted by someone.
What happens next? He finds Lorraine. Gene is with her. Lorraine says "Now you've done it."
Was Adam really (unknowingly) talking with Lorraine on the phone? Does Lorraine pretend to be Cynthia (or vice versa)?
What happens next? Kenny comes 'calling'. (See the word play here? DL uses it a lot.) Lorraine and Gene get 'knocked out of the park'.
When Adam later talks to Cynthia she tells him that someone 'called' when they couldn't 'get' him. Is she talking about Kenny?
*************************
Notice that Adam calls Cynthia 'Cynthia' but Hank calls her 'Cindy'. Notice that Diane (and everyone else) calls Camilla 'Cah-mill-ah' and Adam calls her 'Cah-mee-lah'. And notice that word I just used again - call.
*************************
Adam tells Cynthia that he wants to 'see' Jason. He got a two-for deal. He saw Jason and Ray. Is that like seeing someone twice? Double vision? Like when he saw two pool chairs? Maybe he needs new 'lenses'. (Another word play)
