Rena Riffel, who played the hooker Laney in MD and who was originally promised a bigger role in the TV show, now moved on to write/direct a spoof of Showgirls (1996) called Showgirl (2012).

Scott Coffey (Wilkins) already blessed us with some sweet MD connections in Ellie Parker (featuring Naomi Watts and Mark Pellegrino), so lets see what Rena is coming up with to please the MD croud.

Her Kickstarter page says, "Cast members I have worked with before on Showgirls and Mulholland Drive will appear in the film..."
