A high mountain range? Perhaps a beautiful one?

Well spotted, Darren. (I hadn't noticed that one!)
This indicates to me that not only is she lying at the party (which is pretty obvious anyway), but that she is trying to distance herself from the truth by saying the opposite of what is true. And early in the film (when she is in Havenhurst, which does seem to be a dream representation of Sierra Bonita apartments) she seems to be avoiding things that are Spanish: Hence the name change from Sierra Bonita to Havenhurst.
